At Indus Academy, we celebrate the unique spark in every child. Our play-based learning approach nurtures curiosity, allowing children to explore, question, and understand the world in ways that come naturally to them.
Our classrooms are thoughtfully designed with young learners in mind—warm, engaging spaces where children feel safe, seen, and inspired to grow. Beyond academics, we believe in keeping their curiosity alive and helping them fall in love with the world around them.
Meaningful outings to places like the fire station, vet clinic, and other community services deepen their understanding of how society works. From a young age, we also nurture civic responsibility through activities like fundraisers and peace walks, helping them grow into compassionate, informed individuals.
Parental involvement is a cherished part of our culture. Events like Mother’s Day, Grandparents’ Day, and Profession Day give children a sense of belonging, connection, and pride in their community.
We’re not just shaping young minds—we’re helping them grow into kind, curious, and confident little citizens of the world.

Academic Calendar
The Academic Calendar for the year includes important dates, term schedules, holidays, and events.

Creative Arts
An essential component of our educational program involves encouraging children to freely express themselves through a diverse selection of materials. We offer a variety of art activities that serve as a creative outlet for children to explore their imagination and develop a sense of self-expression. Before they write, they draw. Art is fundamental to human expression — Phylicia Rashed.

Sports
Sports play a vital role in our holistic development approach at our school. Students engage in various games, learning rules and techniques, honing their balance, and getting acquainted with fundamental skills like kicking a football or shooting a basketball. Our annual Sports Day is a joyous celebration where children, teachers, and parents come together to participate with great enthusiasm.

Language & Literacy Enrichment
At our school, we enhance English language skills through the Oxford RWI program. This program aids in fostering phonemic awareness, expanding vocabulary, and nurturing creative writing abilities. Read Write Inc (RWI) is a phonics program that supports children in achieving fluency in reading and enhancing their comprehension skills.

Numeracy Exploration
We focus on building strong numeracy skills in our students. From verbal counting and number recognition to understanding quantities and comparing numbers, they take part in fun, hands-on activities. Our simple and interactive approach helps students enjoy learning math while building the skills they need to do well in school and in everyday life.

Understanding the World
Understanding the world helps children grow by learning about people, places, and the environment. They start with their home and surroundings, then learn more through trips, visits, books, TV, and technology. Talking with adults and friends helps them learn about cause and effect. We encourage curiosity and observation to build strong knowledge of the world around them.

Urdu
At the Prep and Kindergarten levels, children are introduced to the Urdu language through engaging daily activities such as stories, songs, and games. This consistent exposure not only boosts their confidence but also enhances their communication skills in Urdu, laying a strong foundation for future learning in a fun and interactive environment.

Music
Engaging in activities like music class not only enhances language skills in children but also positively stimulates their brains. Our children enjoy weekly music classes where they learn new songs, dance to the music, and develop coordination and control. As Elder Enrique Falalella said, “A child who sings is a happy child.”

Library
Our children from Nursery to Kindergarten are immersed in the magic of books in various ways. From holding and feeling books in Nursery, exploring picture books and simple words in Prep, to reading story books independently in Kindergarten, their literary journey grows. Weekly library visits, where they borrow a new story book, are eagerly anticipated and cherished.
